Gili Trawangan is the largest of Lombok’s

Gili Trawangan is the largest of Lombok’s Gili Islands and is the only one to rise significantly above sea level. It is 3km long and 2km wide with a population of about 700. Of the Gilis, Trawangan has the most tourist facilities; the pub Tîr na Nôg claims that Trawangan is the smallest island in the world with an Irish pub. The most crowded part of Trawangan lies on the eastern side. It is administered under Lombok Barat Regency along with Senggigi Beach.
On Gili Trawangan (as well as the other two Gilis), there are no motorized vehicles. The main means of transportation are bicycles (rented by locals to tourists) and cidomo (a small horsedrawn carriage). For traveling to and from each of the Gilis, locals usually use motorized boats and speedboats.
Some of the first inhabitants of Gili Trawangan were from Sulawesi who are fishermen and farmers. Previously Gili Trawangan was covered in forest and deer lived on the island. (Source: Inhabitants of Gili Trawangan — no printed source available)
The economy of Gili Trawangan centres on tourism, as the island is too small to support any broad scale agriculture, and too remote to allow economically viable industry or commerce.
There are now seven dive operators on the island which run a full range of PADI courses, starting from the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) course or the Open Water, right up to Instructor courses at certain times during the year. The schools organise Fun Dives with local dive masters who have a wealth of knowledge about each site.
There seems to be a dive centre for everyone, whether you like the hustle and bustle of a big busy school like Blue Marlin or Manta Dive, or more relaxed smaller groups at laid back schools such as Vila Ombak Diving Academy and Trawangan Dive. There are also some schools which are more tailored to French speaking divers (Big Bubble) and German speaking divers (Dream Divers).

Tanah Lot

Tanah Lot is a rock formation off the Indonesian island of Bali. It is home of a pilgrimage temple, the Pura Tanah Lot (literally "Tanah Lot temple") and a popular tourist and cultural icon for photography and general exoticism.[1]

Tanah Lot means "Land [sic: in the] Sea" in Balinese language [2] Located in Tabanan, about 20 km from Denpasar, the temple sits on a large offshore rock which has been shaped continuously over the years by the ocean tide.

Tanah Lot is claimed to be the work of the 15th century priest Nirartha. During his travels along the south coast he saw the rock-island's beautiful setting and rested there. Some fishermen saw him, and bought him gifts. Nirartha then spent the night on the little island. Later he spoke to the fishermen and told them to build a shrine on the rock for he felt it to be a holy place to worship the Balinese sea gods.[3]

The Tanah Lot temple was built and has been a part of Balinese mythology for centuries. The temple is one of seven sea temples around the Balinese coast. Each of the sea temples were established within eyesight of the next to form a chain along the south-western coast. However, the temple had significant Hindu influence.

At the base of the rocky island, poisonous sea snakes are believed to guard the temple from evil spirits and intruders. A giant snake purportedly protects the temple, which was created from Nirata’s scarf when he established the island.

If you want to get married Dani country you have to have the pigs to do it. Usually a wife costs around 4-6 pigs depending on the size of the pigs and the quality of the woman. Now, 4-6 pigs isn't cheap, but the good news is if your lucky enough to have acquired many pigs, you can buy many wives! If you're a woman, uh...well, you can't really buy a husband. It just doesn't work that way.

This might sound like a loveless sort of affair, and we pondered about the relationships between husband and wife over in the grass hut villages and could only decide that life was way too different to make a comparison. But on the third day of our trek a short interaction with a passing group of men gave us a little insight. After some obligatory greetings and handshakes they began explaining where they were coming from and why. This group of men had gone to the village of Sikosimo on behalf of their friend/relative where one of his wives had run off to. She was living with another man! Total love triangle. So the group of men we were talking to, who were all holding axes or machetes, had gone to Sikosimo to demand a payment of 6 pigs in retribution for the pigs their friend/relative had paid to marry the woman. Sounds more or less fair...Right? Our guide John, however, didn't think that they'd get the full allotment of six pigs. He figured there would have to be some negotiation. But what if negotiations fail, we asked. "Well then, the villages will fight."

Australia is fantastic

arbados in the Caribbean is one of the most popular islands in the West Indies. The main attractions over there are the magnificent beaches where some of the most popular celebrities like Cameron Diaz go to crash out and top up on their tan. The community over there is really nice and they also speak English (luckily). When you are over there you can swim with endangered wild turtles and dolphins. You can also hire out lots of different boats for the day. In the evenings you can walk down to the beach and have a disco and barbecue. The other Caribbean islands such as Hawaii and St Lucia are just as fun!! In Barbados you can swim with rare sea creatures in a catamaran expedition.
Australia is fantastic for the beaches and lots of people go that far for them. When you are over there it very barely rains and if you feel you want to do a little more than top up on your tan, then you can explore the wonderful wildlife and rainforests. There are lots of villas to rent out. You can book a touring holiday with some of the big companies such as "Barwell Leisure" and go into Sydney which is more inland.

beautiful afrika

One of the best beaches on the Cape Peninsula, Boulders Beach, is located a few kilometres to the south of Simon’s Town. Here small, secluded coves with white sandy beaches and calm, safe, warm, shallow waters are interspersed between huge rounded boulders of Cape granite that form low cliffs and small caves. There has been a colony of African penguins at Boulders Beach since 1985. There is no record of the birds having lived here prior to that date, so their decision to settle in an area already well-utilized by humans is remarkable. There are only three penguin populations on the mainland in southern Africa. (The others are on islands).
Ceres is a town in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. It was named after the Roman goddess Ceres and has around 40,000 inhabitants. The name is fitting, as the valley in which the town is situated is extremely fertile and is a major producer of South Africa’s deciduous fruit. It is the administrative centre of the Witzenberg Local Municipality. It is situated in the Warmbokkeveld (Afrikaans: “warm antelope field”) Valley about 170 km north-east of Cape Town, which is climatically warmer than the surrounding highlands, which is known as the Kouebokkeveld (“cold antelope field”).
